Information the app stores on your device

To function properly, the app stores a small amount of information directly on your device. This includes your selected categories, preferred rate and volume settings, your chosen practice environment, and the times you begin and end a session. The app also allows you to create audio recordings or import audio files for use during your practice. These recordings and files remain entirely on your device and are controlled by you.

The app does not send these recordings or settings to us, and it does not automatically upload them to any external service. They belong to you, and they remain stored locally unless you delete them or remove the app from your device.

What we do not collect

Nerves of Steel does not collect personal information from you when you use the app. We do not create user accounts, assign identifiers, gather contact information, or track your behavior. The app does not use analytics, advertising technologies, or third-party tracking tools. It does not collect precise location data or use cookies or similar mechanisms. Your use of the app is not monitored by us in any way.

The only time we ever receive information from you is if you choose to contact us directly.

When you contact us

If you reach out by email, we will receive whatever information you choose to include in your message, such as your name, email address, or a description of an issue. We will use this information only to respond to your message and provide support. Aside from that communication, the app itself does not transmit any data to us.

We may retain email correspondence for a reasonable period in order to maintain accurate records, unless you ask us to delete it and we are able to do so.

Recordings and imported audio

Some features of the app allow you to record audio or import sound files for use during practice sessions. These are stored locally on your device and used solely within the app. We do not receive copies of these recordings, and they are not shared with any external parties. You may delete your recordings and imported files at any time using the app’s built-in management tools or by removing the app from your device.

How your local data is kept

All app data is stored directly on your device in its local storage. Nothing in the app is transmitted to our systems, and we do not receive any information about your usage unless you choose to contact us by email. If you delete the app, the data stored on that device is removed along with it. Because there is no account system, no information is synced or transferred between devices unless you manually move it yourself.

Data sharing and service providers

Because we do not collect data from the app, there is no app-generated information to sell, rent, share, or disclose. If you contact us, your email may be processed by our email provider in the ordinary course of delivering and receiving messages, but no other third parties have access to your information through the app.

International considerations

Our business is located in the United States. If you contact us from another region, your email communication may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws differ from those in some other countries. The app itself does not transmit any information across borders, as all app data remains stored on your device.

Your rights

Because the app does not collect or store personal information on our servers, we generally do not have a way to identify users or associate any information with a particular person. If you contact us and provide personal information during that communication, you may have rights under local or regional laws to request access, correction, or deletion of that information. If you make such a request, we will do our best to accommodate it, subject to our ability to verify the request and comply with applicable law.

Children

Nerves of Steel may be used by people of many ages, including younger students who are preparing for performances, presentations, lessons, or other moments in front of an audience. The app’s content is appropriate for a wide range of users, and nothing within it is inherently unsuitable for children.

At the same time, the app is not designed or marketed as a children’s service. We do not collect personal information from users in the app, we do not use accounts or identifiers, and we do not transmit recordings or settings to our servers. If a child under 13 uses the app, all data remains on the device and under the full control of the parent, guardian, or instructor. The only personal information we could ever receive from a child is information voluntarily sent to us through an email message.

If a parent or guardian believes a child has shared personal information with us outside the app, they may contact us and we will take steps to delete that information when possible.

Security

We use reasonable measures to keep user data secure on the device and to protect email communications. Although no method of storage or transmission is completely free of risk, the app is intentionally designed to minimize exposure by keeping data local and avoiding unnecessary network connections.

Business changes

If our company is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information related to user communications may be transferred as part of that transaction. Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no app-generated user data to transfer. Any new owner would be expected to honor this policy for existing information.

Changes to this policy

If the way the app handles data ever changes, or if we introduce new features that require a different approach, a revised version of this policy will be included with a future update. We may also notify you in the app if the changes are significant.

Language

If this policy is translated for convenience, the English version will govern in the event of any differences.
